POGI'S BIG HEART

Who would not know Pogi aka Jay? He is one of Ate Landa's sons. He came to Manila and stayed with us when he was in his teens, since at that time, he just can't afford college just yet. However, his stay with Tyang Tops and Tyang Mameng eventually gave him the chance to go to college. If I am not mistaken, he took X-ray Technician course at the Family Clinic, near UST. But later on I think he shifted to another course, which benefited him to enjoy the job he has right now in the Aloha country.
He is Tyang Mameng's favorite. He took care of her when she was almost bed-ridden. And yes, you would not believe, that Pogi will give Tyang Mameng a bath everytime she wants to. He prepares her meals, her medication, and takes care of her arinola. Pogi treated Tyang Mameng like his own mother, that's why no wonder, she would only want nobody but Pogi to take care of her.

Any time soon, Pogi's BIG HEART will be exposed! Unfortunately, not like the way he showed his big heart to Tyang Mameng, but he has to undergo a HEART BYPASS! Yes, they are opening his heart to treat a clog that andioplasty can't!
So I enjoin everyone to keep him in your prayers. Inasmuch as hospitals and doctors in Hawaii are at their best, asking God to take charge is the most sure thing.
Right now, he is still working but to a minimum. God bless his employer because he has their full support.

I will keep everyone updated as soon as I have more details.

ARE YOU READY FOR NEDY?

Hey Neds! Well, she's one of the adoptive daughters of the Baaclos. She grew up with us and has been a member of the family. I will never forget her unexplainable interest with movie stars. When she was in high school, she's a big fan of Sharon & Gabby. She would have clippings of their pictures and wouldn't miss a tv show or a movie. I remember so vividly, how I would explain to her an algebraic expression, and used Sharon & Gabby as the x & y. For some reason she understood it. Long before I knew, she has explored a better way to know the movie stars she idolizes. She frequent ABS-CBN shows, until finally one day, we just saw her as an extra in Cristy Fermin's show. Since then, she moved up to different jobs at ABS-CBN, from Production Assistant, to Reseacher, to Segment Producer. So, her dream of being close to her idols did not only come true, because not only is she physically close to them, but they know her on a personal level. Right now, she has her own company that handles events like concerts, and personal appearances. She's been to Dubai, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore to name a few...
We are so happy to see her transformation from a young high school girl with all her baby fats, to a very fine young lady, a fashionista, a jet-setter, and a socialite in her own right. But what makes me happier is she has remained humble and selfless, mahirap nga lang kausap minsan, when it comes to commitments. Well I guess, showbiz na showbiz na kasi eh. Nonetheless, she will always be a family I will care about and love...
On Sunday, she will be celebrating her birthday, and she got a perfect birthday present...a Schengen visa...so Paris are you ready for Nedy?

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEDS!

BETH the BRENDA

My Ate Beth...my dear Ate Beth! Yes, she will always be my dear Ate Beth. I was very thankful when she offered that I stay with her during my vacation last December 2008. Not that I didn't want to stay with my other cousins, but moreso because I wanted to spend time with her too, besides her being alone in her apartment. Ok, ok, I will admit, I liked it there because she spoils me, but I spoil her too, so it was a perfect match. When the day becomes boring, we will just stare at each other, and the next thing you know, we're hailing a cab or a tricyle on our way to SM Centerpoint.
My stay there was very safe and secured too because of BoomBoom! (a sweet rascal). And just like me, Ate Beth loves not only dogs but cats too. When I arrived there, she already got one, named Nining. But before I left, a white and orange tabby, didn't give Ate Beth a choice but to take her in as part of the pack. And since we can't give it a name just yet, I suggested Tarat-tarat, to rhyme with Boom-boom.

I know that if Ate beth will see this, tears will fall from her eyes. Boom-boom passed away some months ago, and has left her heart so broken. She misses him a lot!
