GILBY THE VP!

Introducing, drum roll please....this year's ASO Vice President: Gilbert Gilby Songalia! You read it right, Gilby is the current ASO (Association of Student Oraganizations) Vice President. He was voted to the position by the students of Southwestern College before the Spring semester ended, to have him serve the student body in the school year 2009-2010!

At official opening of the school year, Gilby was up on stage at the Mayan Hall on behalf of the ASO, in front of the SWC faculty, staff, and administrators, to welcome them back. He did a good job in his 3 minute speech! Way to go Gilby!

I always see Gilby now more often than I did years back, as we kinda like belong in the same department now. I am so glad that he got this position as this will be a great opportunity for him to develop leadership skills, and share his talents to serve the studentry.

He told me he'll treat me to lunch, and am still waiting Mr. Gilby the VP!
